Day 1 : Arrive in New Delhi
Day 2 : New Delhi to Manali, 570kms – 13/14 hour journey
Day 3 : Around Manali – checking and riding your bike
Day 4 : Manali Rohtang Pass Koksar Keylong
Start ride early in the morning our first halt is Marhi A barren landscape offering extensive views of the valley and the mountains. We proceed to Rohtang Pass 3790 M is most popular with visitors, being one of the highest road point and gateway to LAHAUL and SPITI valleys. Once we cross the Rohtang Pass border we are in the Barren Himalayas with the landscape completely changing Khoksar is the first village and gate way to Lahaul Night stay in Keylong. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5 : Keylong – Sarchu
After breakfast ride to Jispa, en-route visit Jispa and Darcha. Darcha is situated at the junction of Yotche Nullah and the Zangskar chhu which takes off from the Shinkun la. Both these nullahs meet with the main river Bhaga at this place. The valley broadens out from Darcha. The altitude of Darcha is about 3500 m. which makes it an ideal base camp for acclimatization. Darcha is the jumping off point for treks to Padum over the Shinkun la or Baralacha la and Phirtse la and for treks or mountaineering expeditions to Leh and peaks of Chandra Bhaga series. However no tourist bungalow or rest house facilities are available on either side of the nullahs. A police check post is also there. Darcha is the last village where one can see sparse growth of trees. Beyond Darcha not even a single tree can be seen on either side of the highway. Landscape starts looking desolate and absolutely barren. Glance at JISPA. This beautiful spot is 22 kms away from Keylong and 4 kms ahead of Ghemur. The village is situated at the junction of two nullahs with the main river Bhaga. Jispa has a very large dry river-bed, a rarity in Lahaul. Jispa is a new tourism centre coming up with the monasteries of Yarji and Photang where his Holiness the Dalai Lama gave the Kal Chakra sermon a few days back to the Buddhists all over the world. The mountaineering Institute of Manali has a sub centre here for adventure tourism. Sarchu is the last inhabited point in Himachal Pradesh on the Manali-Leh route- which is regarded as one of the highest highways in the world. Arrive in Sarchu and check into your Camp. Overnight stay at the Camp
Day 6 : Sarchu – Tsomoriri / 118km
Day 7 : Tsomoriri – Tsokar
In the morning visit Korzok village and visit around the lake. Later ride to Mahe village. The village is famous for the scene of shooting fountain and white clouds hanging upon. Ride to Puga valley, which is famous for Butan gas. Later we ride to Tsokar. Overnight stay at the camp
Day 8 : Tsokar – Tanglang – Leh
Day 9 : Tour of Shey –Thiksey -Hemis
After a leisurely breakfast, ride to visit Shey Palace the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh, after ride to Visit Thiksey Monastery, Thiksey Monastery, located on a hill-lock with formidable views of the Indus valley. Thiksey is especially noteworthy for its gigantic seated statue of the Maitreya and is also known for its (Dukhang) assembly hall which houses hundreds of rectangular prayer books, stacked between wooden covers and bound in silk. After ride to visit Hemis Monastery situated 45km South of Leh; Hemis is the largest and the wealthiest monastery in Ladakh. Ride back to Leh, Evening visit Shanit Stupa and walk around local market. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 10 : Leh – Lamayuru (140 Kms)
After breakfast, carry picnic lunch for the day. ride to Lamayuru visit Moon Landscape, ride to Ulleytopko. Overnight stay at Ulleytopko
Day 11 : Alchi – Likir – Leh
After breakfast ride back to Leh, en route visit Alchi and Likir, Sightseeing of 1000 year old Alchi monastery the only Gompa in Ladakh region on flat ground. After visit Basgo Castle which is declared by UNESCO as world heritage site. After proceed to Likir, It used to be the winter capital of Ladakh. Likir Monastrey to visit the splendid three storeys Dharma Wheel Gompa. Here you’ll be awestruck with the sight of the massive Buddha statues. Ride back to Leh, Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 12 : Tour of Khardungla Pass 18832 Ft
After breakfast ride toward Khardungla Pass, (the World’s Highest Motorable Road, 18380 ft) we take a stop for Photography, view from the top is spectacular & take a cup of tea at World’s Highest point. After ride back to Leh, evening free for leisure or explore local market.
Day 13 : Leh – Sarchu (260 Kms)
After breakfast, ride toward Sarchu, Upon arrival check in at camp, overnight stay at Camp.
Day 14 : Sarchu – Keylong
After breakfast ride to Keylong, Enjoy beautiful views of conifers hillsides and meadows unwind as the road climbs through 2800 m, conifers giving way to poplars and then banks of flowers. Arrive at Keylong, overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 15 : Keylong – Manali
After breakfast ride to Manali, cross Rohtangala pass, arrive at Manali, check in at Hotel, evening transfer to Bus stand to catch Bus to Delhi, overnight bus journey.
Day 16 : Delhi – Departure
Arrive at Delhi, check in at hotel for wash and change, day free for shopping or local visit, evening transfer to IGI airport to connect your flight.
